The change in scores from baseline to 6-months:
IPSS score: Decreased from 21.9 to 9.51 with Alfuzosin and decreased from 23.45 to 11.66 with Tamsulosin
Bother score: Decreased from 4.8 to 1.17 with Alfuzosin and decreased from 5.24 to 2.12 with Tamsulosin
Qmax: Increased from 9.82 to 21.52 with Alfuzosin and increased from 7.7 to 17.03 with Tamsulosin
ADR: Asthenia: No case with Alfuzosin, but 1 with Tamsulosin1
Ejaculation abnormalities were not observed with Alfuzosin, but, it was observed with people taking Tamsulosin. Among these, 4% of patients had painful ejaculation.2
Both drugs had similar TWOC results, but retrograde ejaculation only observed with Tamsulosin in 11.4% of patients and none with Alfuzosin.3
