He is an expert specialist for surgical infections of throat (nourishment channel), stomach, liver, pancreas, nerve bladder, colon and rectum. He has been confered Honorary professorship by Indian Medical Association, academy of medical specialties. Also he has numerous national and international fellowships. He has received many awards few of the notable ones are Doctor of letters, Honory Doctorate by International Tamil university, USA. He also received Indira Gandhi gold medal award for outstanding Individual achievement in medicine and Social service. Apart from this he has been a part of many workshops and trainings including publications in Journal of American College of Gastroenterology. Also he is a life member of many societies & organizations.
