An Indian Endocrinologistworking at Bharti Hospital, Karnal, Haryana.A graduate ofChristian Medical College, Ludhiana,I completed my post-graduation (MD) in Medicine at PGIMS, Rohtak, and fellowship (DM) in Endocrinology and Metabolism at All India Institute of Medical Science, New Delhi.I am currently the President of Endocrine Society of India and Vice President of South Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies.I also serves on the executive council of the Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India.I have over 500 PubMed indexed articles to my name, and havefostered bilateral and multilateral links between various Afro Asian countries in the field of endocrinology.I have developed the terms Glucocrinology and Lipocrinology.and the Gluco Coper tool,to assess coping mechanisms.I was theWinner of the DAWN Award (2009).I havepublished the concepts of diabetes fatigue syndrome, euthymia in diabetes,quaternary prevention in endocrinology,and quinary preventionI serveas President, Endocrine Society of India (ESI), Vice President of the South Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies (SAFES), and Education Editor, International Society of Endocrinology (ISE).Along with these and other responsibilities, I workto spread endocrine and diabetes awareness across the world.In his spare time, I indulgein my favorite hobby, the Punjabi folk dance bhangra.My Memberships are:-Member, Editorial Board, Diabetes Therapy.Member, Editorial Board, Sri Lanka Journal of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism.Member, Editorial Board Journal of Mid Life Health.
