A reputed and experienced Endocrinologist practising in Bangalore.I ampracting at my clinic at Pandurangnagar and also at St. John’s Medical College Hospital where I am aProfessor and Head of the Department of Endocrinology.Have an 27 years of experience.Icompleted my MBBS in 1992 from Mysore Medical College, affiliated to Mysore University, after which I completedMD in Internal Medicine in 1997, from the same Institute.I further did a DNB in Endocrinology and a DM in Endocrinology from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, in 2001.I worked as Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in Endocrinology in the Department of Medicine at St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bangalore from 2001 to 2008, and was then designated as Professor and Head, Department of Endocrinology, in August 2008.I have research experience in the study of Rheumatoid Arthritis with special reference to pulmonary complications C-Peptide response to i.v. 1mg glucagon in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients of 5,10,15,20 and 25 years duration and was awarded ‘’Doctor of Medicine’’ ‘’Doctor of Medicine in Endocrinology’’ respectively.I was the Principal Investigator in more than 50 Clinical Trials and Studies and also published several Papers in peer-reviewed, indexed journals, both national and international.Have presented many scientific papers both in the National and International levels.I am the editor of the text book "Glitazones: The Current Scenario" (2014).
