"Dr. Maya Vedamurthy is a Consultant Dermatologist at RSV Skin and Research Centre& Apollo Hospitals, Chennai. She graduated from Madras Medical College and was the recipient of Dr.Thambiah’s Gold Medal in dermatology She is one of the first to pioneer aesthetic dermatology in the country. Dr. Maya runs a one year fellowship course in aesthetic dermatology affiliated to Dr.MGR Medical University She was the Past Vice President of Cosmetic Dermatology Society Of India and IADVL –TN branch in 2021. Dr. Maya won Best Doctor Award at Dr.MGR Medical University,Chennai in 2012, the Lifetime achievement award- TN IADVL 2023, Sekhizhar Sangam 2012. She has authored chapters in 14 textbooks, published 61 papers in national & international journals, is the co-Editor of Aesthetic Dermatology Current Perspective. She is the Editorial Board Member of Journal Of Cutaneous & Aesthetic surgery, Kosmoderma and the reviewer of journals-JAAD, IJADVL, IJD, JCD, JCAS."
