Dr. Murtaza Adeeb is a Joint Replacement surgeon. After graduating from BJ medical college, Pune in 1997, he spent 12 years in the UK during which, he underwent training as an orthopaedic surgeon, cleared his MRCS exam and subsequently passed the prestigious FRCS exam in Orthopaedics. He then went on to obtain afellowship in complex primary and revision joint replacement surgery in the UK. He is one of the few super specialists who perform revision/redo knee and hip replacement surgery.After returning to India in 2010 he has focussed on complicated primary and revision hip and knee joint replacement surgeries. His expertise in this area has seen him perform successful complex joint replacements on high risk patients with severe deformities.Dr. Murtaza Adeeb has a keen interest in academics and has published several papers in reputed international journals. He also participates actively as a faculty member at national and international courses on joint replacementDr. Adeeb has also been granted an FRCS Eng (Fellowship of the Royal College Surgeons, England) recently and now has double fellowships from both the Royal Colleges of Edinburgh and England. Dr. Murtaza Adeeb is an examiner for the prestigious MRCS exam conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons, England.In recognition of his contribution to academics and surgical practice, Dr.Murtaza Adeeb has been appointed as an ISA (International Surgical Adviser) by the prestigiousRCSEd (Royal College Of Surgeons, Edinburgh).This is a honorary position and one of approximately a dozen worldwide. He will act as a liaison between surgical institutions and the RCSEd.He is attached to several prominent hospitals in Pune as aSenior Joint Replacement Surgeon.
